Enjoy the Calusa Blueway at “Ding” Darling

September 27, 2010

From our federal friends on Phase 2 of the Great Calusa Blueway comes this announcement:

The “Ding” Darling Education Center at the J.N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge on Sanibel Island will be closed Monday, Oct. 4, through Friday, Oct. 8 due to the rehabilitation of its entry ramp. A new ramp constructed from slip-resistant recycled plastic deck boards will replace the old one.

The “Ding” Darling Education Center will reopen on Saturday, October 9th at 9A.M. unless prevented by unforeseen delays. Further announcements will be made at that time. Wildlife Drive will remain open every day all week except for normal Friday closure.
